Horse Shoes Carl Barrett's back yard

The score is 20-20, Carl throws his 2 green shoes...then I'm up. I threw the leaner first, then the ringer!!! Game ends at 25-20! I still cant' believe I threw this!!! My dad must be sitting on a cloud in heaven, proud as punch! Or did I have devine intervention???

The white tent was Janet's Penthouse suite! As usual had great food, great company and a few great horse shoe games! The Pineapple Upside Down cake survived the 67 mile ride in the trunk of the goldwing! Had a wonderful time as usual! We're going back for July 4th! Posted by Picasa

Great view from Rt 281 off Rt 40

Rt 281 is one of our favorite roads in Somerset County, and the panaramic views are breath taking, even at 70 mph!! Look how clear they all turned out! It was a great day to ride after all today!! Posted by Picasa

The National Road Festival Wagon Train

Wagon's Ho!

As we drove out of Uniontown, the wagon train was coming from the east. Here are the scouts for the wagon train.

We stopped the bike to watch them all go by. The horses were beautiful, and those dark, cold clouds hung around.....

And this was the shot of the wagon train headed into Uniontown. Posted by Picasa

Searight's Toll House, National Rd., Rt 40

Finally got inside the Searight's Toll House. Chilly day, but was fun!!! Quite a small home with furnishings of the time.

This is the view directly in front of the bike off the top of Phil's helmet. This is the view of Rt 40 headed into Uniontown. Posted by Picasa

The Farmers Inn ride

Great ride to the Farmer's Inn! This riding club knows how to ride! Great formation, traveled at the speed limit and up to 5 mph over! No snails or slow pokes in this club! I give these guys an A+!!!

Busy parking lot! Lots of bikes! And best of all, good food and good company! Had a great time and look forward to going on many rides with these guys! Finally a bike club that is well organized and knows how to ride! Posted by Picasa

The National Road

Searights Toll House

Built in 1835 used to collect tolls on the National road. There are only two of these left. The other is in Addison, near the Yough Dam, Somerfield, PA. Where the Great Crossing's bridge is 50 ft under water.
